Lumion Magic

I just have to give a shout-out to Lumion. I love how easy it is to use and how quickly you can produce some pretty sweet content. This is just a single shot I created out of many for this job, but it was one of my favorite.

Finally a rough draft

I finally got around to producing something from the quad copter, and it only took 42 hours of rendering! This is the type of thing I want to do for marketing and site logistics using the copter.

With the Turbo Ace Matrix quad copter and a gopro I captured the first part of this video specifically so I could track the camera in blender and use it for this. This is just a rough rendering to give an idea of my vision, the final will be much sharper and have a lot more animation to the 3D building.

The live footage of the interior is from a different building we recently finished, I plan on flying through the building represented in 3D once it is built and updating the video.

The audio track is "The Grid" from the album "Tron Legacy"

First Flight

Here's a little something I threw together after my first day with a new quadcopter my company purchased. Soon I'll be posting an example of what I really wanted to use the quadcopter for :)

Field Coordinated Fun

As a coworker and I were walking through a parking garage he looked up and then started to laugh, this is what he saw. I had to stop and take a picture of it, and guess what was a few feet away...

You guessed it, another one to match.

I guess when people tell me they'll just coordinate in the field and 'make it fit' I should believe them. They weren't messing around with this area, this is hardcore.

Cutting in Navisworks like a Ninja

I created this walkthrough using Navisworks 2014, I actually did it just for fun and to see if I could interpolate between section cuts on different plans. Turns out Navisworks will only automatically interpolate between section cuts on the same plane, so I had to force it to cut the way I wanted. there are about 250 section cuts that make up the cutting from a horizontal plane to vertical one, hence the title.

First BIM animation video

This was a mock-up I had the opportunity to play around with and thought I'd have some fun with it, I created this originally in Navisworks 2012 but then re-rendered it in 2014. I'm using Animator and just having fun. Enjoy

This is the first video I've shared online, I have many others but I don't know if I have copyright to worry about because I put music to them. So eventually I'll post those up as well.
